During the webinar, Michael A. Green, Sr. CAPRC II will discuss substance use disorder from the perspective of a long-term peer recovery coach with 30 years of recovery. This session is intended for providers who work or anticipate working with people who are using or struggling to stop using. The session will provide Case Managers, counselors, and clinicians a better understanding of the causes of substance use and the struggles and challenges of recovery from one individual’s lived experiences, as a substance user, a person in recovery, and a recovery coach.

He authored and published the book “Calling All Fathers” in 2012.
In 2016, Michael trained as a Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach II by Indiana Credentialing Association on Addictions and Drug Abuse (ICAADA) and International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC). In 2017, he founded the Male Empowerment Network Inc. 2005, a non-profit organization designed to mentor males from the cradle to manhood. In 2019, he began working at Healthlinc as the North Lake team Coordinator for the Mobile Integrated Response team aka MIRT. Michael is also trained as a Certified Recovery Specialist with a Substance Abuse endorsement through Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana.
