Speakers

Victoria Charleston Hanley

HealthLinc

Over 22 years ago, Victoria came to Regional Mental Health Center as a patient. She says made the call for help because, “I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.” She celebrates March 18, 1995 as her clean date. Once clean, she continued to work on herself, and she is now the Program Supervisor at Regional Health system in East Chicago.

Latanza Ramirez

HealthLinc

Latanza celebrates being 21 years clean. She comes from a family of 12 and is next to the youngest. She grew up with both parents in her life, was raised in church, taught about morals, values, and how to conduct herself as a lady (thanks to her mother). But she had no idea of the pitfalls that awaited her outside the safety of her family home. She fell into the world of addiction. Fortunately, she was able to get clean, but then on Feb. 17, 2004, she found out that she was HIV Positive.
